Connecting your first model - Using the File based connector

Create your model

• The first step is to create a new model connection, you can do this from the All Models tab after logging in to QUBEdocs Cloud.

• Enter a name for your Model

• Click Create

Installing the QUBEdocs Metadata Package

• Follow the instructions here to install the required TM1 Objects into your Model
• Run the process QUBEdocs Create Package found under QUBEdocs Cloud in your TM1 Applications. This will generate a file called QDPackage.7z in your models data directory.
• If necessary, copy the QDPackage.7z to your development machine.

Generating your model documentation

• Click the vertical three dots at the top of your models tile and select Upload Metadata Package

• Click next

• Drag and drop the file you generated from running the QUBEdocs Create Package in TM1
• Agree to the license terms and click Generate, once this is done it may take anywhere from minutes to a couple hours for your documentation to be ready depending on the complexity of your model.
